Workplace mobility is becoming a key factor in improving accessibility, employee wellbeing and business competitiveness
SOME took part, through Martí Febrer, People Manager at the company, in the event “How does mobility affect your company?”, held on 29 June at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce’s regional office in Vic. The event was organised by the Consell Empresarial d’Osona (CEDO), together with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in Osona, Creacció and the economic promotion offices of Osona and Lluçanès.
The session brought together companies, professionals and local stakeholders to analyse the main challenges linked to commuting, the current regulatory framework and the opportunities offered by corporate mobility plans. Beyond legal compliance, the event highlighted that mobility has a direct impact on business organisation, employee wellbeing, talent attraction and retention, and the sustainability of the production model.
Active mobility alternatives, public transport, car sharing, flexible working hours and infrastructure improvements were presented as tools to move towards more efficient and sustainable models.
In this context, SOME shared the process launched through an internal survey on employees’ mobility habits. This diagnosis has made it possible to identify accessibility difficulties and the lack of public transport sufficiently adapted to the needs of the workplace.
Through this participation, SOME reinforces its commitment to more responsible business management, focused on people’s wellbeing and aligned with the territory’s competitiveness and sustainability challenges.
