The exhibition aims to bring the history and activity of SOME closer to the people of Sant Quirze de Besora through photographs, videos and emblematic objects.
The exhibition entitled "Some, 50 anys donant forma al progrés" (Some, 50 years shaping progress) has been inaugurated at the Casa de Cultura of Sant Quirze de Besora. This retrospective takes us back to the past, from the modest beginnings in a small garage, where four workers have been appointed, to the present day, in which SOME has consolidated itself as a company with a global presence, with more than 360 employees.
The inauguration ceremony brought together about forty people, including the mayor of Sant Quirze de Besora and other representatives of the consistory, members of the general management of SOME, including Ramon Mena, fill of the founder, the santquirzenc Ramon Mena.
Also in attendance were workers and retired workers who collaborated in the compilation of information and memories of these fifty years of history. The presence of these workers, who contributed to the growth and success of SOME, gave the inauguration a special dimension full of records,
Some data that reflect the dimension of SOME's activity are the more than 1,800 people who, since 1973, have worked at one time or another in the Sant Quirze de Besora factory.
