This will allow to achieve a saving in electricity consumption of 384,8MWh/year.
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has awarded a grant to SOME Stamping Solutions to improve the energy efficiency of its plant in Sant Quirze de Basora. This will allow to achieve savings in electricity consumption of 384,8MWh/year.
Improving the energy efficiency of the SOME, S.A. plant in Sant Quirze de Besora by replacing the existing lighting with LED technology and the cooling system with new highly energy-efficient equipment.
With the aim of reducing energy consumption, this project has consisted of replacing the lighting of the plant with lighting with LED technology and the installation of new highly energy-efficient equipment for the refrigeration system.
Lighting with LED technology means energy and economic savings thanks to its high luminous efficiency and low working temperature. It allows an optimization of energy consumption without renouncing the amount of light and the new cooling system is much more efficient and ecological.
The present energy efficiency improvement project has led to electrical energy savings of 384,8MWh/year.
This project has been subsidised by the "IDAE aid programme for SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and managed by the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) under the National Energy Efficiency Fund.
