Creating spaces for connection beyond the production floor is key to strengthening internal cohesion and fostering a healthy work environment.
The passion for cooking and strong workplace camaraderie came together at the third edition of SOME’s International Paella Contest, held on a sunny Saturday morning at the Municipal Pavilion in Sant Quirze de Besora. The initiative, launched by the employees in 2023, has once again received support from SOME.
A total of 9 cooks competed for the title of Best Paella 2025. The clear winner was Manel Cárdenas, an experienced operator of 400-ton presses in Automotive Production… and an undisputed rice master. Second place went to Anna Puig and Olga Merchan from the Planning and Procurement department. Carles Alba, from Automotive Production, rounded out the top three in this 3rd edition.
With an eye already on 2026, the countdown begins as teams refine their recipes and prepare to showcase their skills once again in this celebration of food, friendship, and strengthened workplace relationships beyond the factory.
